NEXT SLOW WELLNESS SESSION:
RESTORE & RELEASE: HEAD NECK SHOULDER
THURSDAY FEBRUARY 19TH
5:00 - 6:15 PM
111 1st St E B1,
North Vancouver, BC
V7L 0B2
Vibe Lounge - Enter in the back alley,
-
This intimate 75-minute session is designed to restore ease and freedom to the neck, shoulders, and head—areas where many of us unconsciously hold layers of tension from stress, posture, and daily life.
Through a gentle yet purposeful combination of mindful movement, myofascial release techniques, and intentional breathwork, we'll work together to unwind deeply held patterns, realign the body, and restore natural, fluid movement.
-
Perfect for: Anyone experiencing neck and shoulder tension, desk workers, those new to bodywork, or anyone seeking a mindful movement practice that honors the body's innate wisdom.
Each session guides you through a meditative journey of release, using hands-on self-massage, sustained stretches, and somatic awareness practices. You'll learn to tune into your body's signals, working with—rather than against—the fascia and soft tissues that may have become restricted over time. No prior experience necessary. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to slow down.
-
This is not a traditional stretch class. It's a practice of listening, softening, and allowing the body to reorganize itself from a place of ease rather than force. The pace is slow and deliberate, creating space for both physical release and nervous system regulation.
You'll Leave Feeling:
Lighter and more spacious through the upper body
More aware of tension patterns and how to address them
Deeply relaxed, with a calmer, more settled nervous system
Connected to your body in a new, more compassionate way

RELEASE & RESTORE: HEAD, NECK, SHOULDERS

THE FASCIAL RESET: MELT AND BREATHE
Sunday, March 29th
North Vancouver, BC
$50.00
This 2-hour experience goes beyond traditional bodywork—it's a meditation in motion, a conversation between your body and the fascia that holds your story.
Fascia responds to slow, sustained pressure by releasing hyaluronic acid—essentially lubricating itself from the inside out. When we pair this mechanical release with intentional breathwork and interoceptive awareness (tuning into internal sensations), we're not only changing tissue quality, we’re also rewiring our relationship to sensation and tension itself.
What Makes Our Gatherings Special
-
Melissa gives people tools they can use at home, but the guided experience creates depth you can't achieve alone.
-
Led by Melissa Nkomo and experienced guest guides who know how to hold space, encourage participation, and keep things moving with purpose. Our leaders are trauma-informed, BIPOC, and deeply trained and studied.
-
We blend guided moments, open exploration, and space to reflect—so the experience feels both focused and fluid. It's body-based healing for our times.
-
Melissa weaves together evidence based practices (SE, MFR) with ancient wisdom (mindful movement, breath work). Her knowledge and practice continues to evolve and expand.
-
Anyone can do it, but the depths you can explore are limitless. Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself.
-
When people do this together in silence with shared intention, there's a collective nervous system regulation that happens, naturally.
Our events prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.
